About Tennerfest Jersey

Tennerfest is a festival that spreads across the Channel Islands and is a celebration of the fantastic and authentic flavours of the anglo-french cuisine that the islands boast.

The six-week period sees over 120 restaurants, bars, bistros and cafés showcasing their Tennerfest set menu, where you can enjoy a fantastic three course meal for unbelievable prices. Jersey Tennerfest Menus

The menus for Tennerfest changes dependent on where you choose to go. The choice is yours if you fancy a fine-dining sit down meal or if you simply fancy some fresh and simple food in a relaxed beach bar setting. Here are a few examples to whet your appetite:

The Quayside Bistro and Grill in St Helier is the largest seafood restaurant on the island, and on their Tennerfest menu, you can typically find deep fried whitebait, tender carpaccio of beef and fresh calamari for starters. For the main course, there’s no surprises that there is a fantastic array of sea produce from salmon to plaice and seabream. Dessert sees typically French options including crème brûlée and crêpes suzette.

Another option for a Tennerfest dining experience is the 1 Michelin Star restaurant at The Club Hotel and Spa, Bohemia. Here you can expect fine dining at its best and enjoy an impressive 2 course meal for just £15.  You can enjoy delights including a crispy Jersey duck egg and braised short rib of beef.

About the Tennerfest Food

Food and drink play an important part in the Channel Islands culture, and the Tennerfest festival is a perfect celebration of the fantastic produce the islands have.

Jersey has fantastic fresh ingredients that should not be forgotten. Think rich and creamy Jersey Royal potatoes, hand-picked and grown with care. You should also sample some of the island’s lobster. The tides surrounding Jersey bring the shellfish straight to the island’s shores so you can be certain that any shellfish you eat on the island would have been locally caught. And finally, Jersey cows produce authentic Jersey milk to make the perfect ice-creams, cheeses and creams that you must indulge in throughout your visit.
